Examples

Questions teams actually ask.

The tools it pulls from are shown inline — every answer in Lumen cites the underlying records it read.

Scope

What Lumen sees. What it can change.

Read is on by default. Every write is a separate toggle, capped per user, and logged.

Read

What Lumen reads

Lumen calls the SendGrid v3 API using the API key you paste at install. Use a key scoped to read-only — Lumen will only need read scopes for everything described here.

  • Stats

Aggregate metrics by day, by category, by template, by sending domain

  • Messages & events

    Per-message event timeline (processed → delivered → opened → clicked → bounced)

  • Suppressions

Bounce, block, invalid-email, spam-report, unsubscribe lists

  • Senders & domains

Authenticated sending domains, link branding, IP pools

  • Marketing campaigns

Single-send and automation stats, including A/B variants

Write · opt-in

What Lumen can write

Lumen does not write to SendGrid. Suppression list edits and template changes are out of scope — manage those in SendGrid directly.

Every call is logged with user, operation, resource ID, and date range. Exportable as CSV.

    Install

    Connect in under a minute.

No keys, no call, no app marketplace fine print.

    1. Generate a key
      01

      Create a SendGrid API key

In SendGrid → Settings → API Keys, create a key with read-only scope (Stats, Mail Send → none, Suppressions → read). Lumen never needs send scope.

    2. Connect
      02

      Paste the key into Lumen

In Settings → Integrations → SendGrid, paste the key. It's stored encrypted at rest.

    3. Ask
      03

      Try a warm-up question

Start with "Bounce rate by sending domain last 30 days" — the agent will pull the stats and break them out by domain.

Connect SendGrid. Find out where mail goes wrong.

API key. Read-only. No send scope required.
