Questions teams actually ask.

The tools it pulls from are shown inline — every answer in Lumen cites the underlying records it read.

Scope

What Lumen sees. What it can change.

Read is on by default. Every write is a separate toggle, capped per user, and logged.

Read

What Lumen reads

Lumen calls PostHog's REST API using the personal API key you paste at install, scoped to the projects you authorise.

  • Events & queries

Run HogQL or insight-style queries against your event stream

  • Insights & dashboards

Definitions and current values for any saved insight or dashboard

  • Funnels & retention

Multi-step funnel definitions, drop-off counts, retention cohorts

  • Experiments

Setup, variant assignment, conversion deltas, statistical significance

  • Feature flags

Definition, rollout percentage, conditions, variant keys

Write · opt-in

What Lumen can write

Lumen does not write to PostHog by default. Feature-flag toggles can be admin-enabled per project if you want the agent to act.

Every call is logged with user, operation, project, query (when used), and date range. Exportable as CSV.

    Install

    Connect in under a minute.

No keys, no call, no app marketplace fine print.

    1. Generate a key
      01

Create a PostHog personal API key

In PostHog → Settings → Personal API keys, generate a new key with read-only scope on the projects you want exposed.

    2. Connect
      02

      Paste the key into Lumen

In Settings → Integrations → PostHog, paste the key and your PostHog host (US or EU cloud, or self-hosted). It's stored encrypted at rest.

    3. Ask
      03

      Try a warm-up question

Start with "Conversion rate of the onboarding funnel last 30 days" — the agent will run the right HogQL query and show the result.

Connect PostHog. Decide from the data, not the demo.

Personal API key. Read-only by default. Flag writes opt-in.
